Application (Ph.D.):


Doctor of Philosophy: Doctor of Philosophy , abbreviated Ph.D. for the philosophiæ doctor , meaning “teacher of philosophy”. In many countries, it has become the highest degree one can earn. The Ph.D. has become a requirement for a career as a university professor or researcher in most fields including pharmacy. As a result of the sound research base and extensive infrastructural facilities available, the college offers Ph.D. programme in a wide range of areas in pharmaceutical sciences. The broad objectives of the Ph.D. programme is not only to keep pace with the expanding frontiers of knowledge but also to provide research training relevant to the present social and economic objectives of the country. The college is approved research center by Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur. Dr. M.S. Ranawat, Dr. S.S. Sisodia, Dr.Y.S. Tanwar & Dr. C.S. Chauhan are approved supervisors at our college for Ph.D. programme. Facilities for research work leading to the Ph.D. degree are available in the departments of Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacognosy. All the departments of the college have well equipped research laboratories and workshop facilities. The library has a very large collection of books, back volumes of periodicals, standard specifications and other literature. College is fully residential and has 04 hostels for students. Each hostel is an independent entity with its own mess facilities, recreation areas, etc. However research students may be permitted to have their own arrangements for accommodation outside campus.

Admission to Ph.D. Programme at B. N. College of Pharmacy is through a All India comman entrance test conducted by Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur. Application (B.Pharm & D.Pharm):

             The admission to Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) and Bachelors in Pharmacy (B. Pharm) is through Rajasthan Pre Entrance Test conducted by Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur. However 15% Management quota is available with the Institution.

How to apply:

     The Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur can be approached for admission form after the advertisement in the Newspaper. The advertisement appears in the leading newspaper of Rajasthan like "Rajasthan Patrika", "Dainik Bhaskar" usually in the month of March or April. The form can also be obtained in person from the nodal centers situated in campus of:

REQUIREMENTS
Educational qualification for admission:
            The minimum academic qualification for admission is a pass in the final examination of 10+2 (class 12th) or any other examination recognized equivalent there to by universities in Rajasthan. Subject combination required in the qualifying examination for admission to D.Pharm and B.Pharm courses shall be as under:
Compulsory Subjects
        Physics and Chemistry
    Any one of the optional subjects:
        Mathematics
        Biotechnology
        Computer Science
        Biology
Age Limit
    A candidate should not be less then sixteen years of age on 31st December or not more then 23 year of age on 1st October of the year in which he/she is applying for the said course (upper age limit is relaxable up to three years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST).
SCHOLARSHIPS
FEES
            The fee structure for D.Pharm and B.Pharm would be in accordance to the guidelines issued by the AICTE and Government of Rajasthan.
Application (M.Pharm):
            The institute currently offers P.G. course in Pharmaceutical Sciences in Five branches viz.
  • Pharmaceutics (18 Seats)
  • Industrial Pharmacy (18 Seats)
  • Pharmacology (10 Seats)
  • Pharmaceutical Chemistry (10 Seats)
  • Quality Assurance (18 Seats)
The applications for admission in these branches are invited by prior advertisement in Local Newspaper (Rajasthan Patrika) and national Newspaper in the month of June each year. The application form may be downloaded from our web site and should reach the institute by the stipulated date along with the prescribed documents mentioned in the advertisement. The institute conducts its own entrance test followed by interview to decide the eligibility of the candidate. GATE qualified students are given preference.
Requirement:
            Minimum requirement for applying for admission to any Branch of M.Pharm is B.Pharm degree from AICTE and PCI recognized Pharmacy College, with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate. Students appearing for their final exam may also apply but such students should prove their eligibility before appearing in the entrance test.
